Author Bio:

DMK was born in the suburbs of Chicago and transplanted to Vail Arizona seven years past. Susan and David married twentyfive wonderful years ago.

“The grand meeting took place in 1982. Nearly everyone did time at a fast food joint and our tale is no different. Just to throw some perspective out there, the golden arches did not have a drive through yet, and somehow people still ate, imagine that, eh. I was behind the grill and Susan took and gave the orders, some things continue on and on,” said David.

“He’s known to have some screws loose; however, David has survived parenting two men now in their twenties, Ken and Mike. Therefore, it is understandable to have some loose screws,” said Susan.

A little bit about myself, I tend to be a jack-of-all-trades but my love is writing; I like Old West Fiction, and mix it in to any era I find myself writing in. I really believe I am in the wrong time in history and belong in the late 1800’s, riding a horse, raising cattle, providing for my family, and living the “Go West or Bust” life. From the Ashes, is my first novel, I have a fondness for the work of Clint Eastwood and the influence of the tales of the Outlaw Josey Wales. My goal is to put my own unique touch on the tales of the turn of the century, and let the reader feel like they are standing on the many trails my character travels.

Now I must admit there are some things today that I could not imagine living without, for example; a microwave, hot pockets must have taken forever to heat back then. What about a fridge, really, what did they do with the beer?
