How To Send Us Your Books

If you are an author of Western novels, we would be very happy to create a featured post for each of your books, and place them in our Featured Western Authors section.  Our goal is to get the word out to our readers about your work, and if you are willing, also let them review it through sample chapters you offer and their comments on this site.

We are especially happy to help support authors by letting you sell your books as well. We will create links to your book on Amazon.com or wherever people can buy it online, including your personal site.

If you would like us to feature your books, please email the information we list below to “admin at westernebooks dot com” or contact us directly through our contact form. Note, you will have to email the book cover image, as the form doesn’t support attachments.

Please send us the following:

1. Your Book’s Title
2. A Dust Jacket Synopsis – If you have time, please update it to make it a little bit unique for us so its new for our readers and doesn’t compete with your site as duplicate content (a Google thing!)
3. A Book Cover Image – Please sized for web (72 dpi, at least 250px wide, and in .jpg or .png format)
4. Your Author Bio – if you can update this to make it a little bit fresh too, that will help!
5. Your Author Website URL – so we can link to your site.
   
6. A Link URL for Where to Buy Your Book – either your website, Amazon or wherever your book is for sale.

Highly Recommended: Send us a sample chapter (or two!).

While the previous list above is necessary in order to feature your book, this request is optional but highly recommended. Please send us one or two sample chapters for our visitors to read for free.

No matter if you are a new and aspiring author or a well established writer the single best way to attract new readers is to offer them a free sample of your best work to get them hooked.  Otherwise, the risk is all on their side to buy your work before they know they might like it (think about why iTunes lets you play a sample!). There is little to no risk to you (even Amazon offers sample pages for many books) and the benefit can be huge. It shows readers you are engaged and willing to introduce yourself to them, which in turn generates good will and new fans! The more fans you have, the better your chances of getting published and selling books.

We will host your sample chapter from our Free Western Ebooks page and get you lots of new eyes!

What would we like in exchange?

All we request in exchange are three simple things, only one of which we strongly encourage. If everyone does these things, more readers will find us an therefore this becomes a more valuable resource for you:

1. Strongly encouraged: A voluntary link back to our site from your site using the code below if possible.
2. Optional: We would also greatly appreciate you sending an email about us to your Publisher (if you have one) and other author friends, so we can find and feature more authors.
3. Optional: “Like” us on Facebook or “Follow” us on Twitter using the social media bar at the top of this page. The our authors do this, the more readers find us and therefore YOU! It’s just a click!

And of course, if you feel so inclined to spread the word about us to your author friends, readers, family and social networking community that would be great!
